Cacharel Anaïs Anaïs Perfumed Bath Oil 6.67 oz (200ml) Pre-Cosmair Vintage 1980s

$235.00Price
Quantity

A beautiful survivor from the earliest years of one of France's most beloved floral fragrances, this original Anaïs Anaïs Perfumed Bath Oil captures the elegant presentation style associated with the first generation of Parfums Cacharel production. The substantial frosted-glass bottle, oversized 200ml format, warm amber-colored contents, and desirable Rue Royale address combine to create a striking collector piece from the formative years of the Anaïs Anaïs legacy.

Available today is this lovely, early 1980s vintage (circa 1980–1981), original and authentic Anaïs Anaïs Perfumed Bath Oil (Huile de Bain Parfumée) in a huge 6.67 oz (200ml) heavy frosted-glass bottle by the original Parfums Cacharel of 14 Rue Royale, Paris (Batch Number: D2A5; Reference Number: 451660; EMB: 99132), made in France. This desirable example predates the later Cosmair-era transition and retains the early Rue Royale branding associated with the fragrance's original production period. Photos were taken at high magnification to best highlight overall item condition. The buyer will receive the exact item pictured.

Although marketed as a perfumed bath oil, this product may also be applied sparingly to pulse points in the manner of a traditional fragrance oil. A little goes a long way due to the concentrated nature of the formulation.

This bottle can be confidently attributed to approximately 1980–1981 based upon the Rue Royale address, absence of later Cosmair branding, early bottle style, and production markings. Examples from this original Parfums Cacharel period have become increasingly difficult to locate, particularly in the oversized 200ml format.

Condition

This bottle remains highly attractive and displays beautifully. The heavy frosted-glass bottle retains excellent presentation appeal and appears to contain its original contents. Please review all photographs carefully to determine the remaining contents level and overall cosmetic condition, as they form part of the description.

Collector Notes

Early Parfums Cacharel products bearing the Rue Royale address are highly sought after by collectors because they predate the corporate and packaging changes that occurred during the 1990s. Large-format bath oil presentations were often heavily used and discarded, making surviving examples increasingly scarce today. This bottle offers strong appeal to collectors of vintage French perfumery, Anaïs Anaïs memorabilia, vanity-display pieces, and early Cacharel products.

The oversized 200ml format is particularly desirable because it was intended as a luxury bath and body product rather than a standard fragrance presentation. Surviving full-size examples from the Rue Royale era are encountered far less frequently than later Anaïs Anaïs products.

Why This Bottle Stands Out vs. Later Versions

This example represents the original Parfums Cacharel era before the transition to Cosmair distribution and subsequent ownership changes. The combination of the Rue Royale address, oversized frosted-glass bottle, and pre-UPC presentation reflects a period of production highly favored by collectors seeking original-era Anaïs Anaïs products.

1991–1992: The company address transitions from 14 Rue Royale to 16 Place Vendôme as Cacharel begins its move toward the Cosmair era.

Originally launched in 1978, Anaïs Anaïs is generally classified as a floral fragrance that balances fresh green notes, white florals, woods, and soft leather nuances. The composition opens with fresh-cut floral accords before unfolding into a rich white floral heart featuring gardenia, jasmine, and lily of the valley. Subtle cedar and leather notes provide depth and sophistication, helping establish Anaïs Anaïs as one of the most recognizable and enduring floral fragrances of the late twentieth century.
