This beveled amber glass bottle is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or other significant issues observed. The original ribbed black screw-top cap remains intact and presents extremely well. The metallic gold paper front label is fully intact and remarkably clean for its age, showing only extremely minor expected vintage wear. The bottle itself provides several useful clues to its period and manufacture. The amber glass container is embossed “BOTTLE MADE IN ITALY,” indicating that Earthmother used an imported Italian bottle for this American-market fragrance product. The original label describes the contents simply as “ESSENTIAL OILS Musk” and identifies the company as “EARTHMOTHER PRODUCTS OF WOODSTOCK, NEW YORK, N.Y. 11207.” The inclusion of ZIP code 11207 establishes a post-1963 date, since five-digit ZIP codes were introduced in the United States in 1963.
Interestingly, ZIP code 11207 is associated with Brooklyn rather than Woodstock, New York. The listing preserves the company's wording exactly as it appears on the original bottle rather than attempting to reinterpret the unusual address. Although “Woodstock” appears prominently in the company name, no direct connection between Earthmother Products and the 1969 Woodstock music festival has been established, and none is claimed here.
