An exceptionally early presentation of one of Estée Lauder's landmark fragrances, this vintage Estée Super Perfume dates to approximately 1970–72, only a few years after the fragrance's 1968 introduction. The rich amber perfume is housed in an elegant first-generation French-made glass flacon with its distinctive elongated silver-tone cap and delicate white enameled “estée” lettering. This early Super Perfume concentration represents the original high-concentration form of Estée rather than the lighter Super Cologne marketed alongside it.
Available today is this new, very early 1970s vintage (circa 1970–72), made in France, original and authentic, long-discontinued Estée Super Perfume splash in a dainty 0.25-ounce (1/4 ounce or 7.5ml) size by Estée Lauder. This is the fabulous first-generation real perfume version. The bottle is in excellent vintage condition with no issues. Originally launched in 1968, Estée is classified as a sophisticated floral-chypre fragrance. It opens with aldehydes, citrus, raspberry, and peach; the floral heart develops through ylang-ylang, carnation, honey, iris, jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley; and the composition settles into a substantial base of cedarwood, oakmoss, musk, sandalwood, and styrax. The interplay of jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang with raspberry, peach, and citrus gives the fragrance its distinctive floral-fruity warmth, while the woods, moss, and musk provide the deep structure characteristic of its era.
