Packing & Shipping

At Golden Age Perfumes, we understand that many vintage fragrance bottles are fragile, irreplaceable, and often decades old. Each shipment is packed with careful attention to protection, presentation, and preservation so your item arrives as safely as possible.

Packing Standards
Every order is individually packed using protective materials selected specifically for fragile glass fragrance bottles and vintage packaging. Depending on the item, shipments may include rigid shipping boxes, protective cushioning, reinforced stabilization, bubble wrap, shock protection, and moisture-resistant materials designed to minimize movement during transit.

Special care is taken to protect delicate features such as glass stoppers, corded necks, vintage labels, presentation boxes, decorative caps, and atomizers. Whenever possible, bottles and presentation packaging are protected separately within the shipment to help reduce pressure and friction during transport.

Vintage Packaging Considerations
Many vintage fragrance boxes and presentation materials were not manufactured to modern durability standards and may exhibit age-related fragility. While every reasonable precaution is taken during packing, buyers should understand that older paperboard, cellophane, silk linings, adhesives, and decorative materials may naturally become more delicate over time. Minor age-related wear to vintage packaging is normal and should be expected.

Shipment Documentation
Because vintage fragrance items are collectible and often one-of-a-kind, shipment documentation may include pre-shipment photography, packaging verification, shipment condition records, and carrier tracking information. This documentation helps establish the item’s condition at the time of shipment and protects both buyer and seller in the event of transit or delivery disputes.

Shipping Carriers & Processing Time
Orders are typically processed and shipped within several business days unless otherwise noted. Shipments may be sent using USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on package size, destination, order value, and shipping requirements. Tracking information will be provided once the order has shipped.

Signature Confirmation
Higher-value orders may require signature confirmation upon delivery for security purposes. This helps reduce the risk of loss, theft, or delivery disputes involving collectible and irreplaceable items.

Domestic Shipping
We currently ship primarily within the United States unless otherwise specified in the listing or during checkout. Delivery times provided by carriers are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

International Orders
International buyers are responsible for understanding and complying with all import regulations, duties, taxes, and restrictions applicable to their country. All international sales are final. For orders utilizing freight forwarding or package forwarding services, responsibility transfers to the buyer once delivery has been confirmed to the forwarding address.

Weather & Temperature Considerations
Extreme temperatures can affect fragrance products during transit. While items are packed carefully, we cannot control carrier vehicles, warehouse conditions, or environmental exposure once a package enters the shipping network. Buyers in areas experiencing severe heat or cold should consider monitoring tracking closely and retrieving packages promptly after delivery.

Shipping Address Accuracy
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that shipping addresses are accurate and complete prior to purchase. Orders returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses may require additional shipping charges for reshipment.
